Week1 Student Teaching

Week 1. Week one started on Jan 2nd for me at my cooperating school. I met with her about my  transition from student teacher to lead teacher in the class. she believed it would be best to slowly transition. I would take over duties starting Jan 3rd. starting with grading homework and morning reading activities. We both also attended a meeting concerning our schools new schedule changes and the new reading intervention program. Our entire school will have 45 minutes a day to perform reading interventions for struggling students. It was during this time that my teacher became ill and had to leave sick.  Jan. 3rd was the first day back for students. the students had a 2 week break from school. The night before I learned that there may or may not be a substitute but at the very least I would have a teachers assistant to help. Week 11

Week 11 Just five more weeks left in the semester. It seems like there so much to do in so little time. This week I'm trying to finish up my LE 5 Leadership and Collaboration Project. Its 99% done but waiting on formative feedback from my principal. Unfortunately, today was a busy day for her and I only spoke with her for about five minutes. My CE gave me some positive feedback today on my project she said she liked the five reasons parents should get involved with their child's school. She had mentioned possibly using it on their Facebook page. In clinical this week we were finishing up our unit on Fables. We did a brief review and then had the formal assessment. Afterwards, we finished our Daily Five activities from this morning. This was a good opportunity for me to worked with my assigned students for EDU 312. We worked together on phonics and concentrated on fluency. I must admit she has come a long way. She read all five books with very few mistakes. The last book was...
